Gordon Kerr who teaches at the University of Macau has sent us a poem;

Not just on the shoulders of giants

Islands are the tops of mountains

It’s all a question of perspective

or maybe you just never thought about it

what you can’t see you ignore, or sometimes forget

We see great works of art, science, technology,

The advance of civilisation

but, do we see the souls that gave birth to them

submerged in the polluted sea of history?

All creation is God’s, we invent nothing in the end,

and only discover what is hidden

If we look below the Ocean of Names we’ll see

that even the most remote island is connected.
