I have included Angelus Silesius &
Frederick Franck as two of my 'Major Educators' because of a
particular, remarkable book called The Book of Angelus Silesius,
The 17thC European Zen poet whose verses form a bridge beteen the
mysticism of the East and West.
The book was published by Wildwood House in 1976. In his book
places side by side insights from Zen and from the mystic Angelus
Silesius. Frederick Franck better known for his Zen of
Seeing but for me his inspired bringing together of East and
Westr was, and remains, a cornerstone of my world-view.
