Is common sense rarer than hen's teeth?  Not quite but it seems to be rare and getting rarer.

Since common sense is in such short supply amongst our 'rulers and betters', and since the deification of the (disconnected) expert is so widespread - along with manipulation of the uninitiated - I have decided to blog any examples of common sense that I come across!

Please send me any examples you come across.  Here is an interesting example that has as its aim the sharing of traditional indigenous health knowledge of cultures around the world.  They are the Common Knowledge Trust and they say;

About Common Knowledge Trust

Common Knowledge Trust is a grassroots organization interested in sharing the traditional and indigenous health knowledge of cultures around the world.

Initially formed as an incorporated not-for-profit in Australia in 1993, the Trust was also established as a Registered Charitable Trust in 1995 in New Zealand. We hold an affiliation to the Traditional and Medical Clinic run by Dr. Barbara Sibanda in Zimbabwe. (See the Gathering Newsletter)

The Goals and Objectives of the Trust are:

      greenarrow.gif: To help transmit the diverse health knowledge from cultures worldwide.
      greenarrow.gif: To encourage the preserving of cultural health knowledge in an era when the homogenization of modern health systems is occurring throughout the world.
